Morgan IAT is shortlisted for a UK MAKE Manufacturing Award 2021

We’re proud to announce that Morgan IAT has been shortlisted for a Manufacturing Matters Award South Region at the Make UK Manufacturing Award 2021. This award is designed to acknowledge UK-based manufacturing companies that have demonstrated a positive societal impact because of their business practices, projects, or products. This could be through adapting business needs to benefit the local community, a well-being programme to support internal teams or the development of innovation that demonstrates the high value of manufacturing and its positive impact on society.

Responding to the Pandemic

Throughout the Covid crisis, we have strived to react positively, adapting quickly to support and protect our teams, clients, partners, and the broader needs of the UK during the pandemic. Most notably, our CEO, Nigel Clarke, and his team proactively contacted the government and existing ventilator manufacturers to offer services, from reverse osmosis machines to PPE for frontline NHS staff.

In addition to this, we recently secured a contract with supply chain giant, Controlant to manufacture a vital component for the Pfizer-BiotNTech COVID-19 vaccine roll-out. Controlant is designed to report on the location and temperature of the vaccine to ensure it remains effective when in transit.

Looking Ahead to the Future

Our company ethos is to develop innovation that positively impacts society; having the opportunity to be an integral part of the vital vaccine roll-out was a proud milestone in our business’s history. We focus strongly on benefiting people’s lives, investing a significant proportion of profits in ideas that may assist in people’s well-being and quality of life. Our stated aim is to have positively impacted 1.5 million lives worldwide by 2024.

Winners are announced at an awards dinner in-person event on the 19th of October. We’re honoured to be recognised in this category and are looking forward to joining the UK manufacturing community event this Autumn.
